We're back!

Had a super fabulous time in Texas but it is good to be home. The flight was exhausting. Whatever made me think it was a good idea to fly 4000 miles on my own at four months pregnant with a two year old?? And in economy no less. I did ask (beg) for an upgrade but they gave me the old 'the flight is full' excuse so Tobes, the Belly and I were crammed into two tiny seats next to a complete stranger. The guy was very nice and understanding when Tobes spilled his drink, jumped up and down on his chair and then kept kicking the guy in his sleep but I'm sure he stocked up on condoms the second he walked off the plane. Oh well, anything that encourages safe sex.

We had a brilliant time in Dallas. Took the kids to the zoo, ate a ton of food and watched some good DVDs. If you haven't seen Sideways yet I encourage you to see it as soon as possible. Hilarious movie. It had me, Jim and Kellie (J passed out about five minutes into the film) dreaming of a wine tour through Napa Valley. Maybe in about ten years when the kids are older. We also watched Supersize Me which was great and had us all feeling sick and swearing off fast food for life. Funny thing though, the very next day we had Sonic for lunch. Guess the effect didn't last very long.

We also had our ultrasound in Dallas and we know what we're having!! Details in the baby blog.

After Dallas J was off to Arizona for a conference and Tobes and I went back to Mom and Dad's. We all spent a day in Galveston which was great, did some shopping and ate some more food. Surprisingly I only gained a couple of pounds this trip but I guess that's down to my increased metabolism because of the pregnancy. I know exactly where those pounds are though and it's not my belly. I could barely squeeze my bum into my jeans this morning. Oh well, I'll buy bigger jeans and worry about it next year. Too many other things to think about now.

We had two viewings of the house yesterday. I didn't really get a 'gotta buy this house' vibe from either couple though. We've decided to really House Doctor the place and give it our best shot. We've just got to the end of July before we'll need to take it off the market until next year. I don't want to be moving right at the end of the pregnancy or with a newborn so we're going to really try for the next couple of months and see what happens. Fingers crossed.
