Great weekend

We've had a lovely weekend. Yesterday we went into Greenwich, walked around the market, played in the park, went to the playground and took a paddle boat out. It was nice to be able to get outside without rain.

Today was even better. We actually had some sunshine! We're trying to spend more quality one to one time with the children so Jason took Rosie swimming, out for lunch and to do some shopping at Bluewater. Toby and I went into town for lunch and a visit to the British Museum. They have a crystal skull in the collection that's actually mentioned in the new Indiana Jones movie so we went to see it first. Afterwards we walked around the Egyptian galleries looking at sculpture and mummies. I can see my own interest in Egyptology has rubbed off on Tobes a bit. He can pick out an ankh in hieroglyphs and recognise Anubis now and of course he knows the whole gory process of mummy making. We had a great time just wandering around.

Afterwards we were walking back to Charing Cross and passed one of those tiny little shops that sell body piercing jewelry and various pagan and Satanist objects. Right there in the window next to the kitty rings was a crystal skull which now resides on our mantel.
